From the dark bowels of England (Birmingham) Craig O’Neill emerged early in the music scene. Following his father’s footsteps in the Electronic DJ scene, he was regularly playing nightclubs and bars throughout Birmingham as young as 15. His passion for music never subsided and brought him to countries like Ireland, Australia and finally, the great US of A. He set up residence in Colorado playing for the rich and famous in Aspen. Despite rocking the house nightly, he still found time to manage Aspen’s fine record store until its demise in 2004. The opportunity arose to move to Sunny San Francisco where he landed the greatest job in the world, working for IODA. Starting off in the content department, he spent two years helping labels establish a digital presence and adjust their business model to the growing digital market. After happily signing a number of labels up for IODA distribution, Craig took off the negotiation gloves and moved in with the movers and shakers over in marketing. Craig’s close relationships with labels have allowed him a valuable insight into their needs and expectations which has helped inform the relationships he maintains with services.
