In the brief three years since its formation, Erased Tapes Records, based out of London, England, has garnered significant amounts of critical praise for the talent and eclectic styles of their roster. Focusing on cinematic music from a variety of genres, the label has grown considerably since its inception and continues to gain a reputation for unpredictable, yet excellent releases. Drowned In Sound writes, “In the short space of time since the label’s inception, [Founder Robert] Raths has put out several incendiary releases. What sets Erased Tapes apart from many other DIY labels on the scene is their no-holds-barred approach to providing an almost unparalleled library of eclectic sounds. Many happy returns indeed! (8/10).” They were BBC Radio 1’s ‘DIY label of the week.’ in December 2007 and were called “one of the most promising labels” by the Milk Factory.

Rock Sound from the UK calls the albums “Essential listening for sonic explorers” and awards the first a 9/10.
