Alkaline Trio frontman Matt Skiba has assembled a collection of brand new tracks he recorded somewhere in between breaks during Alkaline Trio’s relentless touring schedule. It’s been more than ten years since his last solo album (a split with Kevin Seconds), so we’re extremely excited to bring you Demos. Recorded over 2009 between Chicago and Los Angeles on his laptop, this is a telling and intimate look into the songwriting process of a band that has turned out countless horror-punk anthems. I can only estimate that the amount of times I’ve played “Radio” when hanging out with friends must be in the bajillions. The album notes tell us that the record was co-produced by Helmut the pitbull. Awesome.

Asian Man, being the kind and giving record label that they are, have provided us with a sneak preview of the track “S.O.S.” to share with you, the good people. Punknews.org also has a post up about the new record that has a ton of comments; join in the conversation! Enjoy and keep and eye out for the full album in August.
