Adam has an extensive knowledge base in the areas of independent music marketing, label relations and digital rights management. Adam has spent time working as an Artist Manager (Yerba Buena, ill lit), a Music Supervisor (Shooting Livien, The Gypsy Years), and as consultant for various media start-ups including Stop Smiling Magazine, Fun Machine Records, and Velveteen Films. After graduating from Oxford University with a degree in English Literature, Beth decided she liked music better than books, and after a brief stint at CNN, went to work for [PIAS] UK’s marketing arm, Integral. After three years (two as a product manager, working with labels and managers to develop their release strategies and market their albums) she went digital and joined IODA UK’s retail marketing department. She likes all sorts of music and used to run a minimal techno night though now she’s not sure why…
She’s also from the North of England and likes dogs, fried chicken and wearing large earrings.

From the dark bowels of England (Birmingham) Craig O’Neill emerged early in the music scene. Following his father’s footsteps in the Electronic DJ scene, he was regularly playing nightclubs and bars throughout Birmingham as young as 15. His passion for music never subsided and brought him to countries like Ireland, Australia and finally, the great US of A. He set up residence in Colorado playing for the rich and famous in Aspen. Despite rocking the house nightly, he still found time to manage Aspen’s fine record store until its demise in 2004. The opportunity arose to move to Sunny San Francisco where he landed the greatest job in the world, working for IODA. Starting off in the content department, he spent two years helping labels establish a digital presence and adjust their business model to the growing digital market. After happily signing a number of labels up for IODA distribution, Craig took off the negotiation gloves and moved in with the movers and shakers over in marketing. Craig’s close relationships with labels have allowed him a valuable insight into their needs and expectations which has helped inform the relationships he maintains with services.
Born and raised on the small island of Martha’s Vineyard, MA. Elijah started singing and performing at a very young age. His love of music only increased with time and in 2001 he received a BA in Music from Wesleyan University in Connecticut. 3 years later the winds blew him out west to the Bay Area and he has called it home ever since. He brings to IODA his music savvy from JamBase.com, NuMediaNY and Chameleon Music to name a few. He is a co-founder and member of the elusive hip-hop duo the Disastraunots as well as the Bay Area a cappella group Too Small Top Hat.

Matt started out working with Gang of Four bassist Dave Allen at online music retailer OEbase.com (R.I.P.). From there he started doing regional music publicity in the Portland, Oregon area before launching his own national PR company, the appropriately named Matt Wright PR. In the fall of 2007 Matt moved to San Francisco and started doing marketing for IODA. He also manages the incredibly awesome Portland band Blitzen Trapper, an honor he’s held since 2004, and co-owns the Holocene Music record label. He manifests realness on the daily on his blog, prefers Tom’s of Maine natural deodorant, Woodspice edition, and rarely exercises.
Mike is currently a student at UC Berkeley studying English. An avid music lover, he has played guitar for nine years and is particularly fond of the blues and rock n’ roll. He’s a long time Californian, having lived on almost every side of the San Francisco Bay. Mike has worked extensively in radio, managing and DJing at 87.9 KSFH and acting as the business manager for 103.3 KSCU in Mountain View and Santa Clara respectively. Once, when he was hanging a clock in his bathroom he lost his footing, fell, and hit his head on the sink. When he woke up, he came up with the idea for the Flux Capacitor. He is violently obsessed with the Beatles.
Nelson grew up in LA and started dabbling in music at the age of 15 by starting up an industrial band in hopes to make it as the next Al Jourgensen of Ministry. Needless to say that didn’t work out. He soon moved away to UCSC and it was in a class titled “Psychology of Advertising”, that he realized his passion in design. After graduating, he started the Multimedia Studies program at SF State and also joined a small SF dance music production company/record label/record store called SKILLS. In a short time, he was handling the marketing and design for the store, website, label, events, and became partner as they opened an online store to accompany the record store by the same name. They went from throwing small “raves” to selling out massive events at venues like the Bill Graham in SF. He later departed the company to gain agency experience and further his design career. In 2007, when the opportunity came to marry the two, design and music once again at IODA, he jumped at the chance and now enjoys working in the marketing department taking our designs to the next level. He currently resides in Oakland, with his partner, pug, pet labbit and is terrified of birds like the one on his shoulder in his picture.
Oz began his music business career at IODA working in various roles within the company, from encoding cd’s to managing the digital deliveries. Oz, affectionately known as Rugzo the Infernal, hails from the grim northern frostbitten reaches of San Jose, California.
