We are really excited that iTunes launched this program and for the opportunity to work with them to spotlight even more amazing independent artists. It’s lovely to see one of the largest online retailers giving the indies some love!
Hypebot explains:
“iTunes has added an Indie Spotlight page that provides a home for bands and fans who prefer music created outside of the major label machine. The unofficial soft launch includes an indie podcast, playlists and label samplers alongside featured artists, though more features may be in the pipeline.”
Here’s a peek at the new page below. Features include the already established Hip-Hop, Rock/Alt, Singer-Songwriter and Dance & Electronic Spotlights that rotate each week and have an accompanying podcast, new release features, playlists, podcast gems, label samplers and more.

Visit www.itunes.com/indiespotlight to discover the page for yourself!
Congrats to IODA-distributed artists who made it onto the page’s debut: Ultre, Faunts, The Love Language, In Flagranti, Here We Go Magic, Deep Rooted, Now, Now Every Children, Woodpigeon, Joker, 2000F & J Kamata, The Coast and Boy in Static!
