It is with overwhelming sadness that we bid farewell to our drummer and dearest friend Gerhardt (Jerry) Fuchs. Jerry died in a tragic accident early this morning (Sunday, November 08, 2009) when he fell down an elevator shaft near his home in Brooklyn, NY. We are humbled to have been able to create music with you for all these years, Jerry. You will be missed more than words can express. We love you, bro.

Jerry was the drummer for Maserati, Juan Maclean, LCD Soundsystem, !!!, and Turing Machine, among others. “He was one of the only people we all knew who was literally great at what he did, ” James Murphy of LCD Soundsystem said. “And he was incredibly generous with his talent.”
